Okay, especially for those in Victoria in the city, and even around Australia the best way we can think of to help is to donate blood. Especially if (like me) you're O negative. It doesn't sound like much, but 9% of the population is and we can't have any other form of blood, not only that but we're universal donors, meaning your blood is unequivocally going to save around 3 lives. I know it doesn't seem to make sense, donating blood to burn victims, but "Patients with significant burns require large amounts of blood and blood products for months during treatment and recovery."
So, short of donating money or going to the front line to fight the fire, this is a really, really decent option... And one that will probably have an immediate impact on those worst affected by the fire.
